Arrival and Dismissal

School Hours 7:45-2:35

In the interest of safety, please do not drop off your children before 7:20 AM, as there is no supervision before that time. Also, please be sure to pick up your children by 2:35 in the afternoon.

Arrival Times

Our school day begins at 7:45 AM every day. Please be sure to have your child/children here on time. Students who are consistently tardy are at a clear disadvantage and usually frantic and unprepared. All students who arrive after 7:45 AM must sign in at the front office with a parent. If your child will not be present, please call and inform the attendance office at 859-567-6340. Students eating breakfast need to be here no later than 7:30.

Pick ups

Make sure you review the new traffic pattern. Drop off and pick ups will be in the back of the building. When picking up your child from school, park in a double line after 2:00. Wait in your car with your assigned mirror hanger that we will use to identify the correct child. A staff member will bring your child to you and you will be dismissed by a staff member. Please be patient with us, especially the first few weeks of school. Car tags will be available at the Open House or during the school day at the front office. A parent or guardian will have to sign for the tag. Parents of students who need to check out early will still need to report to the front office.

Transportation

The office needs to know how your child will be transported home each day. If you opt to pick your child up from school that day you will need to notify the office by 1 pm. We will not accept calls, texts, emails or faxes about transportation home per District Code of Conduct. Like the last few years, we will have one permanent bus drop off and one pick up location unless its a permanent change. Therefore, we will not accept bus notes. Getting your child home safely is very important to us.
